Developed in 2007 from Hallertauer, US & EKG varieties, Citra is an aroma hop with high Alpha levels, making it an excellent dual-purpose hop choice. Distinctive tropical (mango, papaya, lychee, passion fruit), soft fruit (peach, apricot, melon) and citrus aromas.

Heavily fruity characteristics make Citra ideal for Blondes, Belgian Blond and Triple and Fruit Ales, modern IPA's, Helles & Light Lager. May also create interesting Old Ales and Barley Wines.
