Noble aroma hop from the town of Tettnang. Grown since the 1100's. Medium-large, white-green cones giving a light but sharply lemon-citrus and spicy peppery aroma.
Widely used in Lager styles, particularly modern Helles and Light lagers and well suited to Witte and Weisse style wheat beers, Saison's and light, spicy cask Ales. May be an interesting addition to Old Ale or Barley Wine or spiced Stouts.
