Galaxy is grown in Victoria and Tasmania, Australia. It contributes prominent citrus, passion fruit and peach aromas when it is added to the boil late. As a raw hop the aroma is defined as having spicy components, such as aniseed and fennel, in a fruity combination with cassis, blueberry, blackberry, gooseberry and raspberry. Due to its impressive flavours the variety Galaxy can not only be referred to as a bittering hop but it can also be be classified as an aroma hop.
A wide range of aromatics, dependent on point and rate of use, as well as malt and yeast influences. Well suited to modern Blondes and Summer Ales, Pale Ales and IPA's. Presents interesting options for light Milds, Belgian-style Blond, Tripel and Fruit Ales or even a fruity Pilsner.
